PostSubject: L-Carnitine   Tue Sep 06 2011, 15:29

I've read some posts about L-Carnitine assisting with weight loss. Has anyone here taking any. If so, would you mind sharing your success or non sucessful use of it.

thanks in advance

This is taken from GrammaSmitty's records:

Quote :
L-Carnatine – about 1500 mg a week - Carnatine is a nutrient that helps the body turn fat into energy. It is produced by the body in the liver and kidneys and stored in the skeletal muscles, heart, brain, and sperm. Usually, the body can make all the Carnatine it needs. Some people, however, may be deficient in Carnatine because their bodies cannot make enough Carnatine or transport it into tissues so it can be used. Can help with angina, Alzheimer’s, weight loss, kidney disease, erectile dysfunction (enhances use of Viagra), chronic fatigue syndrome. Promotes production of growth hormone, which is needed for night time body repairs, which burns fats. Do not take with protein foods as it will be digested as a protein and you will not get the benefit.
Acetyl-L-Carnatine seems to help brain functions and improve memory.
L-Carnatine seems to help in the metabolisation of fats during exercise.

So, for P2 or anytime ~~~ Go for it!
