I keep seeing sugar free jello and Popsicles are "free" foods, how can that be since they contain for the most part 15 calories or more?

I am a firm believer that there is nothing "free" on P2 diet.
Nothing.
Everything has a calorie count.
I even include Walden Farms as one calorie, despite what the labels say.
Becareful of sugar free stuff because most contain aspartame and that is not good for the body.

I have tried sugar free jello on P2 and I only found I stall out or gain.
Use at your own risk.
Everyone is different.

Anything that has calories is not free!

I agree, I have eaten a cup of lettuce weighing in at 15 calories with walden farms in times of crisis and been fine, I dont do it often. Id say if you eat anything make it an approved food.

If you are intrigued by jello try making some. Use a packet of Knox gelatin (add the calories!), flavor with unsweetened koolaid and stevia. Use 1 c hot water to dissolve and 1 c cold water then let set up in the frig. (Check the box for water amounts, but this is what I remember using). Or you can smash up your strawberries and use those instead.

PostSubject: Sugar free low calorie and no calorie items   Tue Dec 27 2011, 15:31

I would have to say that if you are having a rough patch and have the urge to cheat or absolutely need something to get you through, then sugar free popsicles would be ok if you have just one. It takes time to eat it which in turn can get you through the craving. Even Crystal Light has a hard candy that I found helps tremendously but just one piece. It is when you abuse the no calorie or low calorie items that they may haunt you in the morning during weigh in.

Hope this helps..
