PostSubject: Lotions & Oils   Fri Feb 19 2010, 12:30

I need something for my poor dry skin. I read a post here that said coconut oil is acceptable. Anyone used that with no weight gain. I also read someone was using evening primrose or black current oil. These are oils - won't they be absorbed and cut weight loss. I use lots of essential oils but have completely stopped while on diet. Can I use them?

Coconut oil is great (yes, the kind you cook with)! Also aloe vera. On occasion, I use pure shea butter.

I heard jojoba oil was acceptable. My hands are raw and bleeding. They constantly hurt. We live in a very dry cold climate, so not using any kind of lotion on my hands is very difficult. I was using the jojoba oil, but stopped to see if maybe it was interfering with my weight loss.

I have also used jojoba and almond oil. You can get them at any health food store as well as Whole Foods, if there is one near you.
