PostSubject: Psoriasis   Thu Jun 04 2009, 21:15

I have psoriasis on my leg and it seems to be getting worse. I read that it should get better while on the protocol. I don't want to use any lotions that will hinder my losses. Any suggestions??

Use the lotion...many many many of us have used lotion with NO problems at all. I had guttate psoriasis and had to use the strong stuff from the dermatologist and it didn't slow down weight loss at all....

I have psoriasis all over my body. It really stinks! I have been using Enbrel injections for about 3 years now. Works wonders. I also use a cortizone cream on stubborn spots. It does not affect weight loss. I have also used a mix of jojoba and tea tree oil on the areas with temp results.

My psoriasis did not get better on hcg, but, it did not get worse. I have a variety of psoriasis as well as psoriatic arthritis.

As a side note to your psoriasis, blueyed1976, over the last couple of years, I have had terrible cracks in the heels of my feet--to the point of bleeding. I was not excited about the no lotion thing because of this. I started eating coconut bark and cooking with coconut oil daily. Whenever I would measure out any coconut oil, I would use the residual coconut oil on my feet and the cracks are completely gone.

OMG! I'm gonna have to try that!! During the summer my heels crack real bad too. I'm gonna put a little on my psoriasis and see what that does.

I wonder if it gets worse due to toxins leaving the body? Thought?

Maybe look into GS oil pulling. I have been reading about it since she posted it, and it seems that it might help.

I did read GS's post about that. Very interesting. I haven't tried it, but am seriously thinking about it.

I am going to try going off of the creams and such for a while and hopefully they don't get too bad.
